David Sergeenko spoke about Universal Health on 142nd session of WHO Executive Board
The Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, David Sergeenko participates in the 142th Session of the Executive Council on the World Health Organization's Headquarters In Geneva, . The council will discuss the issues foreseen by the work program, including a work draft of 2019-2023 developed by the inclusive process.
On the first working day of the session, David Sergeenko took part in the interactive dialogue with the newly elected director of the organization, Dr. Tedros Gebriezus, as a member of the Executive Council. The Minister emphasized the importance of universal healthcare.
The Minister will also participate in other events organized within the framework of the session.
The session, according to the agenda, will last for six days and will end on January 27.
It is noteworthy that the Minister of Health of Georgia, David Sergeenko, was elected as the WHO Executive Council member in 2017. The Council is the governing body of the World Health Organization and consists of 34 State Members.
