Differential packages have been launched in the universal health care program

Since May 1, 2017 differential packages have been launched in the universal health care program. . 

 

Groups of Universal Health program and Financing terms:

►For Socially vulnerable people, Pensioners, children aged 0-6, teachers, students, internally displaced persons, persons with disabilities: 

  • The targeted special services provided by the universal health care program, remain unchanged

  • The right to use additional private insurance packages are not restricted.

► For citizens with up to 70,000 to 100,000 rating score and adolescents aged from 6 to 18 years:

   • Maintain a basic package of universal health care program

   • The right to use additional private insurance packages are not restricted.

►For Citizens with income less than 1000 Gel every month, self-employed, citizens with irregular income:

   • The universal health care program has a small limited package

   •In case of private insurance, will maintain financing for urgent services. Treatment of oncological diseases (chemo, hormone and radial therapy) and child delivering / cesarean section financing. 

►For Citizens with monthly income more than 1000 GEL but annual income does not exceed 40 000 GEL:: 

  • Use  Universal Health Care Program with limited services or private insurance packages.

  • Will maintain financing  for urgent services. Treatment of oncological diseases (chemo, hormone and radial therapy) and child delivering / cesarean section financing.

► The Citizens, whose income is more than 40,000 GEL a year, will no longer use the universal health care program. .
