The leadership of "Gilead" met with the Minister of Health

Leaders of the pharmaceutical company "Gilead" evaluated the progress of the unprecedented program of hepatitis C elimination in Georgia. In the frames of the visit, John Martin-Executive Chairman of the Company "Gilead Sciences", Vice President Greg Alton, Senior Vice President Clifford Samuel and Senior Director Grem Robertson met with Minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs David Sergeenko. The Minister thanked the company's leaders on behalf of the society for implementing the program. A gradual assessment of the project was made at the closed meeting. The heads of the hepatitis C medication manufacturer company, personally got the latest information from the Minister of Health about the progress of the elimination program, the involved  patients and the cured patients, as well as the activities that identify the virus carriers. At the closed meeting, they focused on Georgia's experience in fighting against hepatitis and sharing the knowledge with other countries. In the final part, a short film about the Elimination program was presented.
