
7th meeting of the Professional Development Council was held
The meeting of the Professional Development Council was held at the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs on Comparative Analysis of Residents and Clinical Order Graduates. The seventh meeting was opened by the Minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs David Sergeenko. The exam results Analysis was presented at the session. According to the data, from the 137 graduates in clinical undergraduates in CIS countries, 56% showed positive results on the certification examination. And 80% of the 142 students resided in Georgia showed positive result. Since 2014, after diploma preparations in Georgia are carried out with new residency programs, which are adapted with the EU standards with content and duration (3-6 years). Prior to that, the two-year diploma preparations in CIS countries were recognized in the form of clinical ordinance, which was the basis for unconditional access to the certification examination and did not envisage the obligation to pass a single postgraduate qualification exam. Recognition of the above-mentioned format was unequal to local residents. At the Seventh Professional Development Council meeting, 16 issues were discussed.
