Meeting with the Doctors of Primary Health Care

Minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs David Sergeenko met with representatives of medical institutions. The main topic of the meeting was the program of providing medicin for chronic diseases and related issues. David Sergeenko heard opinions about the new program from the doctors. The program for the treatment of chronic illness medicines has been launched on July 1. Within the new program, medication can be taken by socially vulnerable citizens of any age, whose family rating score is defined from 0 to 100,000 and has the following chronic diseases: - cardiovascular diseases; - chronic diseases of lung; - thyroid gland  disease; - diabetes type 2 (Non  insulin-depended). In case of withdrawal of medicines, the person pays 10% of the medicine price, which does not exceed 1 GEL but not less than 0.05 GEL.

At the first stage, the need to use this program will have about  hundred thousands of citizens.
