Adjarian maternity hospitals have been given levels

Deputy Minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Nino Berdzuli opened the Conference of Perinatal Care Regionalization of Adjara.

At the conference, the results of monitoring of perinatal regionalization were discussed and the perinatal service institutions of the region were given the appropriate levels.

Regionalization of perinatal care provides improvement of maternal and child health outcomes through appropriate care, as well as reduction of  morbidity and mortality. The project is implemented by the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia with financial support of donor organizations.

The conference was attended by the Minister of Health and Social Affairs of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Zaal Mikeladze, heads of the Institutions, heads of the obstetrician and neonatal services.
