New stationary department of oncology center opened in Kutaisi

The deputy minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs Nino Berdzuli attended the opening ceremony of the new stationary department of Oncology Center in Kutaisi. The stationary department includes 50 hospital beds. Surgical treatment of oncologic patients will be available in the operating blocks equipped with the latest medical equipment. Laparoscopic and endoscopic operations will be available as well. Patients are supervised by the team of American, German and Danish doctors.

By the opening of stationary section, oncological patients living in western Georgia will get the full package of appropriate treatment without leaving the region at Kutaisi Oncology Center.
