Conference on labour rights issues was held in Georgia
Minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs David Sergeenko attended the conference "Labor Rights in Georgia – Agenda of Changes". He focused on the current situation in the country, the amendments to the improvement of the environment and the future plans.
The meeting was opened by Irakli Kobakhidze, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia. The rapporteurs made emphasis on human rights reforms, achieved results and existing challenges. The meeting was held in the discussion mode. The sides discussed the ways of strengthening labour rights, workplace safety and fulfillment of articles provided by the European Social Charter.
US Ambassador to Georgia Jan Kelly, EU Ambassador to Georgia Janosh Herman, UNDP Leader in Georgia Niels Scott, UN Women's Representative in Georgia Erica Kvapilova and other officials attended the conference with the support of the International Labour Organization.
