Zurab Azarashvili Makes a Speech at the 7th Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) Ministerial Meeting
Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Zurab Azarashvili delivered a speech at the 7th Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) Ministerial Meeting.
Zurab Azarashvili focused on importance of improved response to global health threats and noted that Georgia introduced significant changes in this terms.
As stated by the Minister, Georgia has taken important steps towards development of unified electronic disease surveillance system based on One Health approach. According to Zurab Azarashvili, this system provides opportunity for prompt detection and response to infections.
As noted by Zurab Azarashvili, Georgia makes more and more investments for development of
emergency response capacities, which includes: introduction of public health emergency response centers, trainings of regional emergency response teams, development of contingency plans, strengthening capacities of state hospitals and emergency medical services.
Deputy Minister of Health, Ilia Ghudushauri pays an official visit to the Republic of Korea together with the Minister of Health, Zurab Azarashvili.
