Meeting Between Ministry of Health of Georgia and the WHO to Discuss Policy of Breast Cancer Control and Outcomes
Meeting between representatives of the Ministry of Health of Georgia and the WHO to discuss aspects of policy of breast cancer control and outcomes has been held.
The participants of the meeting reflected on the possibilities oriented towards early diagnosis and reduction of mortality caused by breast cancer in the country.
The event was opened by First Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Tamar Gabunia
According to her, the package of recommendations has been prepared. The package will be reflected in Strategic Plans and programs of the Ministry in nearest future.
The document, prepared by Georgian and International experts envisages effective access to basic services necessary for early detection and reduction of mortality caused by breast cancer.
The meeting was attended by MPs, Irma Zavradashvili and Nino Tsilosani, representatives of the WHO/Europe, experts, representatives of professional associations.
