State Drug Quality Assurance Laboratory

Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili and Minister of Health, Zurab Azarashvili visited newly-opened State Drug Quality Assurance Laboratory.

The Laboratory is of paramount importance for the country and represents one of the leverages for improved quality of the medicines available at the market. Quality assurance of both local and imported pharmaceuticals will be performed at the Laboratory.

The facility has been equipped with compliant with international standards, high-tech, state-of-the-art technology.

The Laboratory has been staffed with qualified personnel. The staff underwent the first stage of re-training with involvement of international trainers and experts.

Molecular, physics-chemical tests can be performed at the lab.

Active works for obtaining corresponding international certification and accreditation is ongoing.
