Zurab Azarashvili Meets with Physicians in the Format of Advisory Board

Minister of Health, Zurab Azarashvili met with physicians of various specializations in the format of Advisory Board.

The participants of the meeting reflected on ongoing and planned reforms aimed at increased accessibility and quality of healthcare.

They also discussed updated standards of resuscitation services that had been approved with the purpose of improved quality of medical services. The aspects of mandatory accreditation coming into force from the year of 2025 were discussed.

The representatives of medical sector noted that planned changes in terms of regulations are commended.

Zurab Azarashvili heard recommendations of the physicians regarding existing healthcare challenges and ways of their overcoming.

The participants of the meeting dwelt upon Diagnosis-related group (DRG) funding model and the summarized accumulated experience. 

The participants of the meeting reflected on the measures to be taken in terms of strengthening primary healthcare.

The topic of implemented and ongoing in the country reforms aimed at increased accessibility to high-quality medicines was highlighted during the meeting.

The Minister of Health expressed his gratitude towards the physicians for their service.

Zurab Azarashvili noted that the meetings of the Advisory Board will be conducted on a monthly basis.
